We have a team, we call them "The Gate Team". They will be standing at the gate and they will let you in before the service or any of our events. When leaving, you will be given an EXIT CARD to present to secuirty and they will let you out.
Our mothers room is situated to the left as you are facing the stage with a separate enterence. It has a live feed to the service with nappy changing facilities.
Yes, you are more than welcome. We feel strongly that everyone can belong to the family before they believe.
We have plenty of parking around our building. There is also a field at the lower end of our campus. One of the benefits of being in an estate is that everything is real safe including our parking.
The Elders periodically host a new members course. If you would like to become part of Encounter Church then signup for the next one. Once you have attended this course you will welcomed in as a new member of the family.
We have communion on the first Sunday of every new month. Everybody is encouraged to take part and all may consume the elements. We believe one should examine their own hearts before taking part in communion.
Yes we do. We have "Lambs" Pre-School Kids, "Lions an Eagles" for Primary-School Kids as well as a Mom's & Dad's for the little ones. We will require you to register you kids in order to ensure their safety. Encounter Kids will start approximately after the second song in the main service. We believe that an Elder or Pastor is a person chosen by God to be responsible for governing the Church and are the highest authority within the local Church.
A Deacon is a person appointed by the Elders to help assist with leading different areas within the local Church under the authority of the Elders.
We have wonderful ladies who are married to our Elders. They attend Elders meetings, serve as well as preach and teach. They are a vital part of our Church. However, the Bible does not reference women being responsible under God to govern the local Church.
Yes, our campus is mostly on a single level and we have dedicate toilet facilities.
Yes, Encounter Church is registered as Public Beneficiary Organisation in terms of Section 30(1) of the Income Tax Act, No 58 of 1962. Our Elders are also registered with NCMI and these records are kept with Cornerstone Church in Bedfordview, Johannesburg.
Encounter Church Ballito is an independent Church autonomously lead by the local Elders and does not report to any authority other than God. However, one could classify Encounter Church as New Covenant / Pentecostal.
We choose to walk closely next to New Covenant Ministries International. This is our primary relationship. Members of the NCMI trans-local team are invited by the Eldership to share their thoughts on doctrine, finances, vision and the overall life of the Church. However, their opinions are merely recommendations for final consideration of the local Elders.
